Questions Families Often Ask

If you don’t see your question here, we’re happy to answer it during your Free Home Safety Screening.

What counts as a “light repair” during a visit?
Light repairs include things like replacing bulbs, tightening screws on cabinets or rails, adjusting door latches, replacing outlet or switch covers, minor caulking around sinks or tubs, and securing simple grab bars or rails when it’s safe to do so.
Do you do major electrical, plumbing, or structural work?
Not during a standard visit. Full electrical work, major plumbing repairs, structural changes, HVAC replacements, and large exterior projects are outside the scope of a monthly visit. If we notice something that needs that level of work, we’ll note it in your summary and you can decide if and when to move forward with a separate project.
How long does a typical visit last?
Most visits last between 45–60 minutes, depending on your plan and what we discover that day. Premium plans and more complex homes may require a bit more time.
Who should be home during the visit?
Ideally, your elder is home and involved in the walkthrough so we can listen and build trust. A family member or caregiver is welcome to be present, especially for the first visit, but it isn’t required.
Can we upgrade, downgrade, or cancel a plan?
Yes. Families can adjust plans as needs change. We’ll work with you to find the right level of support over time.
